At last elephant has to be brought on National Highway to push forward the submerged vehicle on muddy road which passes from Karimganj to Ratabari via Hilakandi.
Earlier elephant was utilized to help the vehicles –small and big cars- move from muddy road at Assam Agartala National Highway before two years. The news was published in the national media. Similar scene came into reality at another National Highway which went up to Silchar.
Meanwhile, PWD minister of Assam Parimal Sukla Baidya claimed in front of media that 80 percent road of Barak Valley became well equipped for transportation of vehicles. But elephant was brought on the road to rescue vehicles within one week of the statement by the PWD minister.
