A series of unexpected incidents occurred on Tuesday, resulting in injuries to several individuals in the North Tripura district. In a day marked by misfortune, multiple collisions involving bikes left several youths seriously wounded.
The first unfortunate event unfolded at Ananda Bazar, falling under the jurisdiction of the Dharmanagar police station. In a head-on collision, two speeding bikes collided, leaving three young riders injured. Among the injured were Rana Deb from Ananda Bazar, along with Sanju Goswami and Ziaur Rahman from the Bargul area in Kadmatla. Swift action was taken as passers-by promptly notified the Dharmanagar fire brigade. The rescue team arrived at the scene and transported the injured youths to the Dharmanagar district hospital for initial treatment. However, due to the severity of their injuries, the three were subsequently referred to more specialized medical facilities. The Dharmanagar police station also dispatched officers to the site to investigate the incident and recover the accident bikes.
In a separate yet equally tragic incident on the same day, two residents of Uptakhali area in the Panisagar sub-division, Ranjit Das and Raju Das, suffered serious injuries. The injury occurred in Batrasi area of Dharmanagar during a head-on collision between a Piago auto and a bike. The bike, bearing registration number TR-05E-7659, was hit by the auto with registration number TR-05B-1618. The impact resulted in the two bike riders being thrown off and sustaining severe injuries. Responding swiftly, the Dharmanagar fire brigade personnel rescued the injured individuals, rushing them to the district hospital for immediate medical care. Interestingly, the driver of the auto chose to flee the scene following the accident.
In yet another unfortunate occurrence, a bike accident transpired near the Shantirbazar SDM office on the national highway. The bike, with the license plate TR-01AJ-6213, lost control and crashed on the national highway. The impact caused injuries to three individuals riding the bike - Uday Marak (18), Shubhankar Marak (18) and Mandeep Marak (17). Responders from the Shantir Bazar Fire Brigade were quick to react, rescuing the injured riders and transporting them to the Shantir Bazar District Hospital for necessary medical attention. As of now, the injured individuals are under the care of medical professionals at the hospital.
