Dy. CM inaugurates 2 separate Govt. buildings in Sepahijala district

The Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Verma on Monday pitched to ensure the flawless extension of Central and State schemes and projects for the genuine beneficiaries across the state.

He said this while inaugurating two separate buildings of administrative office and another SP Office of the Sepahijala district today.

He said that the economic condition of the state will improve just as the financial condition of the poor will improve if the facilities of various projects of the state government are extended to them.

The development work of the district has gained momentum after the commencement of work on the district administrative building at Bishramganj. The state government has been able to make the administration more accessible to the common man by decentralizing administrative work. He said the necessary funds have been sought from the World Bank for the development of various administrative infrastructures in the Sepahijla district.

Meanwhile, speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the state government has taken initiatives to expand power infrastructure in the state, adding that 31 more power sub-stations will be commissioned in the state by next December.

The construction of 15 sub-stations has already been completed. He said the demand for electricity in the state is increasing day by day. A proposal of Rs. 135 crore has been sent to the World Bank for the expansion of power infrastructure.

The Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Pratima Bhoumik, who remained present in the function, said the construction of the new administrative building would benefit about 5 lakhs people in the district. It will be enabled to provide them with better administrative facilities.
