After a long span of being entry-restricted for the devotees, Doors of Tripura Sundari temple one among the 51 Shakti Pithas spread across the world will be opened for the commoners from Monday. Albeit, there will be some restrictions still in force to prevent unnecessary gathering and spread of Covid 19, District Magistrate TK Debnath said.
The district magistrate being the SAVIAT of the Temple and Member Secretary of “Mata Tripura Sundari Temple Trust" by virtue of post informed media about the development after a meeting with other important officials including MLA Biplab Kumar Ghosh, and members of the temple trust.
In the meeting, it was decided that the temple to be opened on 8th June 2020 for all. There board of trustees and the higher officials in presence of the MLA also charted a batch of restriction set to be followed after the temple would be once again opened for the people.
However, the source of the Gomati District administration has informed this reporter that about 15 to 20 volunteers would be engaged from the local youths with ID cards in parking plots, lakeside, and the surrounding areas to ease the job of police personnel deployed in the premises. “No volunteer will be entitled to take action. They will assist the deployed police to maintain the order of crowd in the temple premises” the source said adding that police deployment would be also increased in the temple.
As per the guidelines, it has been made mandatory to use masks for all the pilgrims, priests, and temple employees. The temple complex would consistently be sanitized every evening and one thermal screening unit would set up with a trained volunteer.
“No bathing will be encouraged in the lake. Action will be taken up against the defaulter if any shopkeeper insists to buy ‘Gamchha’ (Towel) to the pilgrims for bathing. The pilgrims will not allow to feed the aquatic lives of the Kalyansagar lake,” added the source of Gomati District administration.
