Violence is going on at full swing at Khowai subdivision even after 5 months of State assembly poll. Sources said that a group of unruly youths collapsed CPI-M Office and burnt car at CPI-M District office at 12:30 a.m. yesterday.
Sources said that a group of youths attacked District office of CPI-M at mid night yesterday and started throwing stone and bricks. They damaged all glasses of windows. On being informed a large contingent of police rushed to the spot.
But the attackers fled away from the spot before arrival of police. Again they allegedly prevented police when police started video recording of the damaged office.
Meanwhile some miscreants damaged two cars and burnt one car at Lalcherra area of Khowai town yesterday.
Police sources said that CPI-M filed a complaint damaging the District Party office at Khowai Police Station. But no name of attacker mentioned in the complaint.
