Couple beaten by the miscreants, snatched money and gold ornaments

AGARTALA:

A proletarian woman fell into the clutches of a snatcher in the area adjacent to a petrol pump under Bishramganj police station.

According to the details of the incident, on February 14, at around 12:30 pm, she was returning home from Udaipur on her husband's bike after receiving an invitation.

Trishna Das, a resident of East Lakshmibil area under Bishalgarh police station, and her husband Mithun Das, a government employee, on the way to home a group of miscreants was sitting in front of the Bishramganj petrol pump in a white Maruti car.

Mithun's bike is stopped by miscreants in the street and the two are beaten by the miscreants. The miscreants then grabbed Mithun and his wife by the throat and snatched money and gold ornaments from them.

Later, Mithun and his wife went to Bishramganj police station and lodged a complaint.  The police officials said that now a days the situation is very bad why they are moving at night. If the police administration itself says such things then how will the common people walk on the streets?

Mithun and his wife were returning home in panic condition. They had been very ill for two days, so they could not reach the media and lodge a written complaint with the police. So, today, Mithun lodged a written complaint with the Bishramganj police station.
