Scuffle broke out between the BJP and Congress workers at Kailashahar centering the Congress called 12 hour strike on Monday leaving several Congress and BJP workers injured.
Sources said that tension prevailed at the area after both the parties came out in open for contradicting reasons. The Congress picketers took to the streets to ensure all success of the strike.
On the other hand, BJP leaders tried to convince people so that no one extended support to the Bandh.
Situation turned highly volatile when both the parties confronted each other and got involved in a scuffle.
Police rushed to the spot and resorted to lathi charge and also fired tear gas cells to hold control over the situation.
