At least two persons injured seriously and some others got minor injury in a clash between two picnic parties at Baramura Eco Park today. Sources said that two of the injured persons shifted to G.B. Hospital as their injury was serious. They are Sambhu Pal (38) and Pranjit Roy (30).
In reaction of the incident a group of angry youths started unruly behaviour at Teliamura Police Station. Observing the situation police ordered lathi charge. As a result some of the agitating persons injured in lathi charge. Some of them get minor injury by the lathi charge.
Sources said that a group of unruly youths engaged in altercation in drunken condition. Later a group of angry youths created an unruly situation and set on the National Highway to stage a road blockade.
Immediately situation of Teliamura town became tensed. The people on road started running here and there. At that time police bound to order for slight Lathi charge to control the situation. However none of the two parties file any complain at the police station till today. Although police filed a suo moto case and the situation is till tensed in the area.
