Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, Thursday inaugurated blood donation camp here at Agartala Tripura Medical College Hospital and said that blood donation is a special aspect of human religion and everyone in a society should follow this religion for building a developed society.
The Chief Minister said that there is no greater donation than blood donation and voluntary blood donation is above all donations to societies.
Inaugurating the blood donation camp, the Chief Minister also said that the present state government is working for public welfare with transparency. The government does not act with any kind of hostile attitude towards anyone, he said.
Great improvement has been achieved in every aspect including connectivity and industry due to the establishment of the double engine government in Tripura, he said, adding that the state government is giving priority to set up rubber and agar-based industries for industrial growth in the state. He said that many foreign investors have also shown interest in investing in the state.
The Chief Minister said that the government is also sincere in solving the various problems of Tripura Medical College. Discussions have also been held with the central government for the development of this college. The Chief Minister expressed hope that Tripura Medical College will grow as a result of the combined efforts of all levels of health workers including doctors.
