BJP workers of Santirbazar lost their enthusiasm with the information of shifting the rally of Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Santibazar to Sonamura to be held on February 8.
Earlier BJP State president Biplab Deb announced that two rallies of Prime Minister would be held at Unakoti and Santirbazar. On that news the BJP workers of Santirbazar started working with lot of encouragement.
Meanwhile a team of NSG from Delhi visited the ground of Santirbazar H.S. School and gave necessary instruction for preparation of stage and ground for the grand rally. The works of helipad has been completed in the meantime.
BJP workers were working day and night to prepare the ground with lot of enthusiasm. In the meantime the news of shifting the rally to Sonamura has broken the heart of the workers and supporters. The reason of shifting is to boost up the heavy weight leaders and candidates Pratima Bhowmik and Subal Bhowmik.
Meanwhile Health minister of Assam Himanta Biswa Sharma and State In-charge of BJP Sunil Deodhar went to Santirbazar today to cool down the resentment of frustrated BJP workers. They assembled at a courtyard meeting at Santibazar. But the leaders had to face resentment of workers instead of consoling them. On hearing the complains of the frustrated BJP workers Himanta Biswa Sharma termed them as supporter of CPI-M. The workers were insulted by such behavior of leaders who worked for the party day and night.
All of them were murmuring by raising question why are they working and for whom are they working. How the party will fulfill its promise after election as it fails to fulfill promise before poll. All of them opined that a big crack will be created inside the party if Modi address a rally at Santibazar on February 8. On hearing the shifting of Prime Ministers rally the women workers broke into tears. They are also suspecting that defeat of BJP is sure in South due to such behavior of leaders. However the leaders visited the ground and helipad after the meeting.
