BJP office ransacked and flag festoon and important documents of the party damaged at Maracherra Bazar and Nagbanshi Bazar under Surma Assembly constituency and at Shib Bari area under Kamalpur constituency in last night.
Speaking to media on the incident Kamalpur Mandal president of BJP Prasanta Sinha, Shyamal Pal, leader of Surma Mandal Committee Asish Das and District level leader of BJP Monoj Kanti Deb alleged that CPI-M party has done the heinous crime. In protest of the attack BJP workers and supporters staged a road blockade at Fulcherri Bazar on Ambassa – Kamalpur Road.
They alleged that CPI-M workers conducting all the attacks due to inactive role of police. The agitators threatened to continue the blockade as long as police fail to arrest the accused persons. The blockade started from 11a.m. and continued till 12-30 p.m.
Meanwhile the villagers of staged a road blockade on demand of water at Dhanchandra ADC area on Kamalpur – Ambassa alternative road. However they withdrew the blockade on the basis of assurance from administration.
