BJP rules out oppositions’ allegation of proxy voting; thanks EC, police of ensuring peaceful voting

AGARTALA:

At a time when the opposition I.N.D.I.A bloc had alleged of proxy voting and targeted the ruling BJP of turning the election into a farce, the ruling BJP on Friday thanked the election commission for ensuring peaceful voting.

Addressing a press conference here at the party headquarter on Friday evening, the BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee said, “People have come out in large numbers to take part in the election process. We thank the voters for their massive participation. We also thank the election commission for ensuring peaceful voting across the West Parliamentary Constituency.”

Bhattacharjee ruled out the allegation of opposition I.N.D.I.A bloc and said, “Worried of their loss in this election too, the opposition as usual had adopted the policy of hatching false propaganda against BJP. They have made baseless allegations against BJP, whereas we have observed that people have come out in large numbers to be a part of this democratic process.”

“We already filed a written complaint with the state election commission against the oppositions’ baseless propaganda against BJP and we sought the commission’s intervention for legal action against the opposition,” he told reporters.
