BJP announced candidates list for by-poll of three tire Panchayat to be held at the end of this month with an assurance of free and fair election.
Khowai District president of BJP Harishankar Pal announced the candidates list of Khowai, Teliamura and Kalyanpur constituencies at a press conference held at BJP Mandal Office of Teliamura today.
According to the list BJP announced candidates for 504 Gram Panchayat seats, 33 seats of Panchayat Samiti and 5 seats of Zila Parishad.
The candidates have been selected on the basis of education and merit, said BJP president. He added, Teliamura has 156 seats of Panchayat and 11 seats of Panchayat Samiti, Kalyanpur has 113 seats of Panchayat and 9 seats of Panchayat Samiti. Besides, 235 seats of Panchayat and 13 seats of Panchayat Samiti are under Khowai constituency.
Among others District In-charge of BJP Amit Rakhshit, MLA Kalyani Roy and MLA Pinaki Das Choudhury were present in the press conference.
