Deputy Speaker Biswa Bandhu Sen inaugurated two days Free Heart and Eye Treatment camp for children from 0 to 18 years under Central Project RBSK today. Besides he inaugurated poster, short drama and folk dance competition.
Sources said that the Heart disease detection camp will continue for 0 to 18 years children during two days with initiative of Manipal Heart Foundation. After identification of the affected children will be send to Manipal Heart Foundation Centre at Bangalore.
In case of detection of eye disease the patient will be sent first at Agartala and then at Sankar Deb Netralay of Guwahati. Although, Central Government introduced the project in 2014. But Left Front Government spoiled the project by signing agreement with ILS Hospital authority.
Meanwhile Deputy Speaker inaugurated two days programme of Education department at Vivekananda Sardha Satabarsiki Bhavan today.
Speaking on the occasion he described the story of Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb’s faith on common people. Chief Minister expressed strong resentment when he saw that there was no arrangement of food for people when he going to take meal after Jana Darbar in Dhalai district. Even he did not take food leaving common people. At last he took Khichuri along with common people sitting on the ground.
At the same time Deputy Speaker condemned the narrow minded attitude of Leftist teachers of Coordination committee.
Altogether 13, 12 and 9 schools participated in school level poster, dance and drama competition respectively.
