An awareness camp on Disaster Management organized at Pabiacherra H.S. School yesterday with initiative of NDRF and in collaboration with volunteers of National Service Scheme of the school.
Speaking on the occasion Headmaster of the school Sanat Kumar Nath welcomed the officials of NDRF for taking initiative of such an educative programme. Informing the students and volunteers of NSS about devastating consequence of natural disaster he appealed them to promise to render their service with responsibility.
During the programme the officials of NDRF presented a speech on awareness of Disaster Management. Then they rendered a practical demonstration to the volunteers of NSS. They showed the procedures of shifting injured person from one place to another or at hospital at the time of disaster, how to normalize breathing of injured person, the technique of stopping blood shedding from wounds after accident, how to tie up bandage to the injured person etc.
About 350 students and teachers joined in the programme including 50 volunteers of NSS. Teacher in charge of Disaster Management and Programme Officer of NSS of the school Raju Roy executed the programme successfully.
