With the initiative of Uchoi community of Tripura the 42nd state level ataibang welfare society annual conference, 2021 has been organized here in Mission Hathai Kami in Karbook subdivision, Gomati Tripura.
The Uchoi people from all over Tripura have taken participation in this 2 day long annual conference with great enthusiasm and excitement. Targeting Uchoi society development and unity the respectable monk Srimath Akshaya Nanda (Uchoi) Mahatero who is the present principal of the Buddha Mandir Benuban Bihar, Agartala had formed this Ataibang welfare society of the Uchoi community in 1979 AD. Srimath Akshaya Nanda Mahatero has inaugurated the conference in the presence of many dignitaries. As per the Uchoi people, through this annual conference they focus over their communal social issues and generate unity, fraternity, communal integrity and take determination over social prosperity avoiding all kinds of discriminations related religions and politics.
As per the report, the Uchoi community is one of the 19 communities of Tripura. Though this community is less in population in Tripura but they are good united and sociable. They have advanced in social status, economic and education. The Uchoi community has their own traditional culture which is reflected in this conference in various cultural programme performances.
Through this 2021 annual conference a new executive committee consisting 14 members has been organized to promote the Uchoi society ahead. The new committee members are Siman Uchoi, president, Amba Chandra Uchoi, vice president, Juri Chandra Uchoi, general secretary, Ashim Uchoi, Asst. Secretary, Shila Chandra Uchoi, organizing secretary, Andrew Uchoi, asstt. organizing secretary, Kriti Uchoi, cultural secretary, Pranab Uchoi, asstt. cultural secretary, Pradip Uchoi, asstt. cultural secretary, Surya Uchoi, cashier. Amidst the distinguished participants there was Lawrence Uchoi, Uchoi Samaj Pati (sarpa), Maharaja Pradyut Kishore Debbarma as the chief guest and Burbo Mohan Tripura was the guest of honor of 43 Karbook constituencies along with a large number of Uchoi people from different areas of the state remained present in the conference.
