A long march and rally of women organized by All India Democratic Women Organization with an appeal to constitute 8th Left Front Government to strengthen the struggle of women for equal right and equal respect at Teliamura today.
The bold procession of women started from Teliamura Motor Stand at 3 p.m. which was decorated with women holding red coloured flag wearing red shari and red cap. The long march of women took huge time to parade the streets of the town. The rally of about 6500 women surrounded the entire Teliamura town and got huge response with beat of band. Only one slogan of became audible from the rally which was on demand of 8th Left Front for respect, equal dignity and protection of women. The long march ended at the premises of Teliamura Town Hall where leaders of AIDWO addressed the rally. President of AIDWO State committee Chaya Bal, women leader Gayetri Dutta, Kiran Mala Debbarma, minister of Fishery, Cooperative and Fire Service department Khagendra Jamatia were present in the rally.
Speaking on the occasion women leader Chaya Bal said, a kind of migratory bird appeared in the state who are not available all over the year. But the migratory birds fail to take Left Front in endangered situation through conspiracy. A section of conspirators are trying to destabilize peace of the state in same style by shifting camps before the ensuing assembly poll.
Criticizing Modi Government for not fulfilling the manifesto given before the Loksabha Poll she said the Central government failed to provide two crore job per year and the guarantee for protection of women. So she cautioned people about the manifesto of the party before assembly poll who failed to fulfill assurances before Loksabha poll.
Our correspondent from Santirbazar added that AIDWO organized a long march at Santirbazar town and rally at Santirbazar School ground today. One procession from SDM Office and procession of women from Sugar Mill assembled at Santirbazar School ground. Hundreds and thousands of women from the rally raised slogan to form 8th Left Front Government. MP Jharna Das Baidya, Subdivision secretary Rama Aich, State Committee leader Ramani Debbarma and Minister Manindra Reang were present in the rally.
