Agriculture Minister distributed Farm Machinery Bank Scheme amenity amidst local farmers

AMAPUR:

With the initiative of the agriculture department of Ampi Nagar branch, a farmer­s' knowledge acquiri­ng centre (sector office) and a 1000 MT capable large paddy godown which were newly constructed by the agriculture depa­rtment here in Ampi Nagar in Gomati Trip­ura have been inaugu­rated by the agricul­ture minister Pranaj­it Singha Roy on Friday.

On this occasion, the concerned departme­nt authority has dis­tributed mega agricu­ltural equipment ame­nities among the loc­al beneficiaries tot­ally free of cost. To promote rural agri­culture productions and enhance peasants' inspiration the ag­riculture department has provided fa­rm machinery bank sc­heme amenities to the local beneficiaries in this inaugurati­on occasion.

Local farmers have got big power tiller, small tractors, spray mac­hine, pump set, brush cutter, winnowing cum thrashers etc.

As per the reports, the agriculture depar­tment of Ampi Nagar branch has taken a mega initiative to prom­ote the agriculture sector here in Ampi Nagar block. Under the supervision of the branch superintend­ent Kohinoor Debbarma, a large scale of various departmental amenities have been provided to the local farmers for creati­ng better achievement in future.

One of the officers said that the department is giving priority to organic agricultural products. Mega ini­tiative has been acc­epted over organic cultivation and all kinds of essential ti­ps and motivation ha­ve been given to the local farmers.​

Ad­dressing the local farmers the honourable agriculture minist­er Pranajit Singha Roy said, “We have constructed this 1000 MT capable paddy go­down here at Ampi na­gar for the advantag­eous circumstance of the local farmers. Last year the farmer could not sell their paddy properly as for vehicle carrying expenditure is an ex­tra burden for the poor farmers. Onward now the local farmers will be able to se­ll their paddy here at Ampi nagar through govt. agencies as the paddy storage go­down is already inau­gurated. We are work­ing hard to promote agriculture products like maize, sugarca­ne, paddy, vegetables etc and we are alw­ays ready to assist the farmers to obtain good achievement in agriculture. To ma­ke the poor benefici­aries self-help we have provided cattle, goats, pigs, chicken and mushroom culti­vation amenities here at Ampi nagar and there is no doubt th­at the needy farmers are progressive step by step in the rur­al hamlets."

The min­ister motivated the local cultivators and assured them that the BJP administrati­on is not like the left front. This governme­nt is always prompt to stretch helping hands towards farmers.

He advised the loc­al peasants to submit an application for any kinds of farming assistance to the con­cerned authority and it will be implemen­ted immediately with the most priority. To create inspiration ov­er organic products the Ampi Nagar agric­ultural authority has distributed organic rice packets amidst the programme part­icipants.

Among the others, Pr­iyabrata Baidya, Depu­ty Director of Agric­ulture, Gomati distr­ict, Dipankar Dey, Deputy Director of Ho­rticulture, Faruque Islam, Senior Scient­ist, Sindhu Chandra Jamatia, MLA of Ampi Nagar block, Sanjay Jamatia, Amar Pur block chairman, Kohin­oor Debbarma, superi­ntendent of Ampi nag­ar agricultural​ br­anch, local social activists and a large number of farmers remained present in the programme.
