Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu on Monday inaugurated Agartala-Hyderabad direct flight service from Agartala Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport and took his first and newly launched flight to Hyderabad.
Inaugurating the direct flight service, run by a private airline, the governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu said that the direct flight service between Agartala and Hyderabad will benefit the people of Tripura, but also the people of neighbouring country of Bangladesh will be benefited at large.
He said that under the UDAN scheme the central government has also introduced air services at many regional airports and common people can save their time and money by availing these services. The governor expressed hope that international flight services from MBB airport would also be launched soon.
Director of Agartala MBB Airport K C Meena and Indigo Airlines officials were present at the airport today on this occasion.
