Administrative authority of Udaipur subdivision has decided to impose 14 rules and regulations on Puja Committees and clubs to organize forth coming Durga Puja in a disciplined and peaceful manner. It has been decided at a meeting of administrative authority held at Udaipur Town hall today in presence of puja committees and clubs. DM of Gomati district T.K. Debnath, SP Ramesh Reddy, SDPO Himadri Das and SDM were present in the meeting.
Among 14 rules the administration instructed the puja committees to take permission from the concerned police authority. The committee should take permission from the authority for organizing puja on land of private party or any organization. Each puja committee will be able to collect subscription by determining the area on the basis of discussion with neighbouring puja committee. No puja pandal will be allowed on the road of public movement. Every receipt book should be signed by secretary, president and collector with full name. Otherwise collection of subscription will be a punishable offence. All pages of subscription receipt book should contain signature and seal of concerned police authority and address of printing press. The committees should inform the number of receipt book to police in advance.
Receipt on white paper or blank receipt will be considered as punishable offence. Collection of subscription is prohibited from offices, court, educational institutes. Subscription collection will be allowed at business organizations and commercial places from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and the same at residential areas will be allowed from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. and from 3 p.m. to 5p.m.
No collection of subscription will be allowed by stopping vehicles at any spot of the state. The number of collector should not be more than three.
The administration may take action against secretary and president of puja committee in case of applying force in collection of subscription. Use of mike should abide by instruction of police and administration.
