AGARTALA:

Tripura CEO Puneet Agarwal announced that out of 85 election-related complaints received, 79 have been successfully resolved. As preparations for the East parliamentary constituency election are finalized, a 48-hour silence period has commenced, prohibiting all political campaigning and gatherings.

Agarwal disclosed that 1,396,761 registered voters are set to participate in the East seat election scheduled for April 26, from 7 AM to 5 PM. Notably, 17,524 Bru voters will exercise their franchise across 18 polling stations, with a total of 1,664 polling stations established across 1,365 locations. To ensure security, a combination of Central Armed Police Forces, state police, and Tripura State Rifles personnel are stationed at all polling stations, supported by the imposition of Section 144 across all districts.

Emphasizing proactive measures, Agarwal highlighted area domination, foot patrolling, and mobile patrols, intensifying security efforts to maintain order and prevent external interference. He assured the deployment of dedicated officers for each assembly segment to address grievances promptly.

"In response to received complaints, actions have been taken against 79 cases, with 18 pertaining to the East Parliamentary constituency, of which 14 have been resolved," Agarwal affirmed, underscoring the commitment to ensure a fair and peaceful electoral process.
