The drug dealers of the state have taken initiative to build up buffer stock of drug at Sonamura, Bishalgarh, Agartala and Teliamura before forthcoming Durgapuja. Although, the strict vigilance of police has become hindrance for the dealers.
Meanwhile police became stricter against the drug dealers to fulfill the target of Home Minister of the state which was not seen during the period of Left Front. In the meantime record number of drug item seized and many heart core drug mafias came in trap of police.
Meanwhile, 81 packet of dry ganja worth of Rs. 48 lakh seized by BSF and Ambassa Police from small vehicle going from Agartala to Bihar on September 20.
Later, 430 bottles phensedyl seized from Maruti Luxury car bearing number TR06- A- 0449 at 8:30 p.m. in last night at Magazine Para of National Highway which was coming towards Teliamura.
SDPO of Teliamura led the operation and arrested two drug Mafias Sanjit Sarkar and Shyamal Roy. The phesydil bottles were hidden inside engine, 4 doors and sound box of the car. On being informed District Police Head Sudipta Das rushed to the spot.
Police registered the entire matter in presence of DCM and brought the two mafias of Teliamura at Police Station.
Sources said that police will produce the two drug mafias at District Court to bring them under Police remand.
