At least 10 youths injured in a clash between two groups on demand of contract work at PWD in Sabroom today. Although, most the injured youths have been released after preliminary treatment at the hospital.
Sources said that injury of Tinku Majumder is serious. Meanwhile a case filed at Sabroom Police Station in connection with the incident.
Sources said that tender for 15 work orders published recently from Sabroom PWD. Buying of tender form started today. Large number of youths gathered to buy the forms. But some youths including, Tinku Majumder, Litan Basak, Barun Pal, Kamal Shil, Rupak Nama, Dhruba Das Baishnab, Bijan Kumar Majumder, Kamal Shil and Tinku Majumder injured in clash during collection of forms.
Meanwhile a case filed against Sukanta Bhowmik, Subrata Dutta, Sulabh Majumder, Samik Das, Litan Dey and Omkar Roy. On being informed MLA Sankar Roy rushed to the spot and visited the injured youths.
