The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has detected around 1.52 lakh suspected fake mobile connections subscribed based on forged documents in six states of the northeast region, officials said on Thursday.

Sources said that apart from the Tripura High Court, these Lok Adalats will sit on public holidays in all district and sub-divisional court premises of the state. A total of 11,346 cases will be taken up for disposal in 66 benches of this Lok Adalat.

“During investigation so far police has arrested two accused persons. During raid the involved vehicle and Indian currency amounting Rs.90 lacs have been seized from the house of one of the accused persons”, said Police.
