Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki on Wednesday inaugurated a colorful rally on the occasion of the World Diabetes Day.
World Diabetes Day is the primary global awareness campaign of the diabetes world and is held on November 14 of each year. It was introduced in 1991 by the International Diabetes Federation and the World Health Organization in response to the alarming rise of diabetes around the world.
The aim behind organizing the rally is to create awareness on Diabetes and its precautions. Addressing a program held at Muktodhara organised by the Diabetes Welfare society, eminent journalist Subal Kumar Dey stated that the ill effects of Diabetes is rising alarmingly and it has grasped million of people. Earlier it did not have much effect but now most of the people are affected with Diabetes including children’s.
