Col C K Nayudu Trophy Under 19 Cricket: Tapas's 5 wickets put Tripura in command

Tapas Mandal today picked up his third fifer in this season and his sensational bowling display put Tripura in a good position against Goa today. At the end of day two today Tripura has an overall lead of 50 runs as in their second innings Tripura made 19 for the loss of 1 wicket.

The match is going on in the ongoing Col C K Nayudu trophy under 19 cricket tournament. Tripura made 240 runs in their first innings while host Goa bundled out for 209 runs felling 31 runs short of the first innings score by Tripura.

Tripura resumed from their overnight score of 230/8 and added only 10 runs before bundled out for 240 runs. Neelambuj Vats scored 42 runs with 7 fours. In reply with the ball Tripura bowlers bowled superbly and especially Tapas Mandal as he picked up 5 wickets.

From 74.2 overs Goa bundled out for 209 runs. Vaibhav Govekar top scored with 53 Suyash S Prabhudessai scored 33. Tapas Mandal picked up 5 wickets and Viky Saha picked up 3 wickets. At the end of day two Tripura made 19/1 and have a overall lead of 50 runs.
