One middle aged woman committed suicide by burning herself in fire at Melaghar today. Sources said that mother of two children Ruma Barman (44) ended her life be setting fire on herself at Rajghat of Melaghar in the morning today.
On being informed the staffs of Fire Service rushed to the spot and recovered the half burnt body of Ruma Barman. After shifting her at Melaghar Hospital the doctors declared her dead. Later the body was handed over to the relatives of the deceased after post mortem.
Although the family members of Ruma Barman have not filed any complain at Melaghar Police Station. However police filed a case of unnatural death under case number – UD case No -25/18.
Sources said that the woman was suffering from mental disease. The father’s house of late Ruma Barman is situated at Ramnagar Road No-8. Her elder son is 23 years and younger son is 15 years old. Police sources said that the real reason behind the death would be revealed after getting the P.M. report.
