BJP candidates became victorious for all six seats of Kailashahar Municipal Council. As a result BJP became entitled to form the Municipal Council.
The counting started at 8 a.m. under supervision of Observer J. Bhattacharjee who was there till the end of counting.
The counting completed late as the vote held in ballot paper. The result of counting revealed that Congress candidate came in second position in three wards and BJP won all seats which were occupied by CPI-M.
A colourful rally of BJP supporters along with winner candidates paraded different streets of Kailashahar after the end of counting.
