The state administration has started the process of verifying the details of Bru refugees who are going to be settled in Tripura permanently as per the quadripartite agreement signed recently in the national capital. The civil administration had swung into action since January 18 last.
“As of now, we are on the process of counting the total number of refugees residing in the camps. The process may take at least 12 to 15 days to be completed. After we reach a conclusive figure, we will initiate the further proceedings” said a highly placed source in the state administration.
He also added that this process would be followed by other relative processes of ensuring documents like PRTC, Ration cards and others.
