Unidentified body recovered in pathetic condition

AGARTALA:

In a bizarre incident a body of a middle aged man was recovered from Howah River at South Joynagar on Saturday morning. The incident was reported in the morning 7, sparking tension across the area. The body is yet to be identified.

Reportedly a fisherman first witnessed a body lying at the bank of the river and immediately informed AD Nagar police station. Getting alarm the police force reached the spot and recovered the body from the river and sent it for post mortem at GB hospital.

The locals have failed to identify the body. However, police is further investigating the case.

Talking to media, the police personnel stated that the body was recovered in pathetic condition and is yet to be identified. Police has begun the work for identification and further investigation is underway.
