Two cheaters beaten up and handed over to police

CHURAIBARI:

Two cheaters caught by local people of Lowai Poa at the time of cheating and they were handed over to police under Patharkandi Police Station after beating. They will be produced in to court tomorrow.

Sources said that Ekbal Ahamed (23) and Joynul Hossen (24) of Kakribandh village were waiting at a hidden place of Tinkhal area nearby NH-8 to collect money for their addiction. They started to follow a two Lorries with a mini truck which were coming from Kolkata to Tripura. The cheaters attacked the lorry drivers with lathi with false allegation when they stopped at Lowai Poa stand. They demanded compensation Rs. 9000 to truck drivers who dashed an Alto car. But the truck drivers said that they had not dashed any car.

As a result a scuffle started and the cheaters started to beat lorry drivers with lathi. Meanwhile local people arrived there. Then the cheaters demanded to pay their compensation. Then the local people proposed to handover all to police.

On hearing the proposal the cheaters started to flee. Immediately the locals caught them and handed over to police. The cheaters admitted that allegation of damaging Alto car was false. They were also arrested earlier in similar case.
