Tripura-Mizoram interstate bus service to roll soon

Aiming to augment public transport services between Mizoram and neighboring states and establish people to people contact at its new height, the Mizoram government has decided to roll inter-state bus service between Tripura's Jampui Hill and Mizoram's capital town of Aizwal and Manipur’s Churachandpur district, 

Mizoram's State Transport minister, T.J.Lalnuntluanga said this on Friday addressing a meeting at Mizo Hnam Run.

He said that Mizoram government is taking massive efforts to increase the state transport buses in order to augment public transport services between Mizoram and neighboring states. He also said that only 25 out of 35 state transport buses are fit for plying.

The decision to ply the bus between this two state has also come up in respond to the demand of proper communication with the Mizoram capital as it is the nearest major city for the people most of them Mizos in Tripura's Jampui Hill in North district. 

People of the hills frequently visit Aizwal for every need but were facing serious problem due to lack of proper communication facilities. 

Jampui Hills is a hill range located in the North Tripura district in the north eastern part of the Indian state of Tripura.
