Tripura govt. sends chopper amidst lockdown to carry medical kits for state

AGARTALA:

Amidst the state-wide lockdown, the Tripura government has send chopper to ferry the medical kits in the state stranded in Kolkata and Guwahati. The medical kits include life saving drugs, masks, suits and gloves. The kits are stranded due to the lockdown in the states in wake of the global outbreak of the deadly Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Airport Authority of India (AAI) MBB Airport authority today tweeted and confirmed this. The tweet stated, “State Govt. sends one Helicopter to Kolkata to bring essential items like medicines and other required items which were stranded at Kol due to lockdown. The chopper took off from MBB Airport, Agartala at 11:07 IST and will fly via GAU (ETA12:40 IST)-Bagdogra-Kolkata.”
