To prevent the state from a possible outbreak of the COVID-19, the Deputy Chief Minister of Tripura Jishnu Dev Varma on Monday sought cooperation from the TATA Trust group. In a letter to the chairman of the group Ratan Tata on Monday, the Dy. CM has sought aid from the trust in providing medical kits for the state.
The Dy. CM has sought 100 Nos. of Ventilators, 50,000 Personal Protection Equipments (PPE), 1 lakh N-995 masks, 50,000 alcohol-based hand sanitizers, and 500 Nos. of MakeShift Tents for attending one Adult patient.
In his letter, the Dy. CM has requested the Chairman of the TATA Trust to look into the requirement and extend his cooperation for donating to the extent possible so that the state may prevent COVID-19 from becoming a huge outbreak.
“In wake of the spread of COVID-19 epidemic throughout the country, the state government has taken numerous preventive steps keeping in view the importance of social distancing and isolation measures for containment of the spread of COVID-19,” he stated in the letter to TATA trust.
