Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb today said praised the functioning of the state's judicial system and said, "I want to see our advocates and judges render their quality service in other states like Kolkata, Delhi and Mumbai. We will but not hire judges and advocates from other states."
Addressing the large gathering of the advocates, judges and lawyers in an inauguration programme of newly built District Court Building at Agartala Court Complex today Mr. Deb said, "Advocates of Tripura are talented & hard working. Advocates & judges of Tripura must be called to other states to give their services."
"Model state is only possible with model judicial system. I want everyone's help to reduce crime against women in Tripura. Convicts must not be set free without proper justice," assign to this Mr. Deb urged upon the advocates and judges to join the mission of Tripura government in making this state into a model state.
Meantime, the Chief Minister also said, "I assure of restricting any kind of influence on the state judiciary system. And my government is working on it." He however said, "At present 31 per cent of the women of this state are on their duty of rendering service in the state's judicial system."
The Chief Minister however expressed pleasure over it and urged upon the advocate fraternity in the state to work on this more and meet the rest 2 per cent of the reservation for women in the judicial system of the state.
"I believe more number of Women should join the judicial system and contribute, as they have helping mentality," Mr. Deb said today.
