Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb also the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president today unfurled the tri-color here at the party headquarter and remembered the constitution maker Dr. B.R. Anbedkar to mark the celebration of 73rd Independence day. "Independence Day should be celebrated remembering the ideology of Ambedkar and implement every path and constitution that he made in a right way," said CM today.
Senior party leaders and others remained present in the programme today at the party headquarter.
"After 72 years of our independence, Kashmir got freedom," thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi today, the CM said, "This was long term demand of the people of this nation and BJP founder Shyama Prasad Mukharjee to scrap Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir."
However, series of programmes are arranged across the state to mark the day.
