Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb today condoled the demise of former finance minister Arun Jaitely and said he had laid the foundation of many revolutions like "GST" and "Demonetaization". The chief Minister also extended sympathy to his bereaved family and urged the new generation politicians to follow Jaitley's path.
Speaking to the media persons in the sidelines of a programme he said, it is indeed a matter of grief that Arun Jaitely is no more. I know him since long. Always he uses to treat me as a younger brother. After becoming the Chief Minister I went to him several occasions and was always guided by him. He left for the heavenly adobe at 12:08 today. I extend all the sympathy to the bereaved family of him and pray for his soul. The ministry had taken revolutionary steps like GST and Demonetaizatiom under his leadership. The space he left vacant could never be filled but I wish new genera in politics will follow his path of integrity, he added.
