Tripura CM challenge of selling tea for Rs. 50, 000 a kg

AGARTALA:

Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb today challenged to send state's flavoured tea at the cost of Rs. 50, 000 a kg to Delhi market. The Chief Minister said, "Tripura has already sent white tea at the cost of Rs. 10, 000 per kg to Bangalore based retailer, which can be grown more in near future."

Meantime, concerned of available recourses in the state of Tripura, the Chief Minister Tripura cannot remain backtrack from other states to grow the state's economy. He said, "The state's tea sector has hefty market abroad like that of Assam's."

He also reiterated of promoting the state's juicy queen pineapple and said, "One should have broader idea of promoting queen pineapple and its products like Jam, Jelly and others." He said, "People from different parts of the country should be encouraged to buy the products of Tripura's queen pineapple from Agartala MBB airport."
