Tripura CM asks newly elected office bearers of 3-tier Panchayat to perform transparent duties

AGARTALA:

Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb today asked the newly elected office bearers of the three-tier Panchayat in the state to maintain transparency while performing service for the public. “Being a responsible person is tough than getting elected by the public,” adding to this Mr. Deb said, “The office bearers of the three tier panchayat should abide by the transparent policies of BJP led coalition government in the state.”

Mr. Deb was addressing a day long training programme cum workshop for the newly elected office bearers of the three tier panchayats here at Agartala Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhawan.

Meantime, slamming the erstwhile Left front government functionaries in the state, Mr. Deb warned, “The newly elected office bearers must abide by the current policies of the government and not by the suggestions from the previous office bearers.”

He said, “The 25 year’s rule of the Left government in the state has deprived the common people at large as the officers and others employees had to act on behest of the party.”

The Chief Minister however urged upon the newly elected office bearers of three tier panchayats to join the mission of making the state into a model state ensuring transparency in implementing the central and state schemes.
