Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb today unfurled the tri-color here at Agartala Assam Rifles' Ground to mark the celebration of 73rd Independence Day along with rest of the nation.
Unfurling the national flag today, the CM said, "Tripura is progressing fast and connectivity with neighbouring Bangladesh is improving to boost the state's economy."
He said, "Connectivity through Bangladesh to get touch with rest of the nation is easy and perhaps shall help state to grow the economy." He continued saying, "Most of the construction work is to be completed by this year end."
The Chief Minister in his speech mentioned several development programmes being carried out by his government.
However, several cultural programme are arranged here at Assam Rifles' Ground to celebrate the India's Independence day. Stae police along with other different wings of the police administration and paramilitary forces deployed in the state took part in a parade.
The state law and education minister Ratan Lal Nath along with top officials of the state administration and police remained present in the programme today.
