Transport Minister Pranajit Singha Roy today said that the main emphasis of the state government was to offer more and more services to the people of the state.
Inaugurating the pre-paid auto-counter at ISBT Chandrapur, he also said, we are trying to restructure the transport system if the state. In the regime of previous government entire transport system was used as a political property. We will not let that happen this time. The organizations that were formed were completely under the control of political leaders but this time our stress is on public interest, he added.
TRTC chairman Deepak Majumder, who also remained present on the inaugural ceremony, said, the chief Minister had strictly directed us to start pre-paid auto services in reasonable prices in Agartala Railway station and ISBT, so that people who come here from different state do not fall prey of a section of crooked drivers who use to trap outside state people.
He also informed the media that soon the state was going to launch regular bus services in all the routes of the city.
