The traditional Kharchi Fair to begin from 10 July at the premises of Chaturdas Devata Mandir in Khayerpur. Keeping eye on the upcoming traditional festival preparation is already geared up.
A preparatory meeting was held at Khayerpur Gitabitan hall in presence of DM West Sandeep N Mahatme, Kharchi fair and festival chairman cum MLA Ratan Chakraborty, AMC mayor Prafullajit Sinha, ADM tapan Kumar Das and others.
In the meeting it was discussed that these essential services for the devotees will be much more enhanced and developed. There will be CCTV’s, Watch towers, drinking water facility and others.
Advertisement will be displayed in Newspapers, TV, radio and other platforms to attract more number of devotees and tourists from the far flung areas.
The seven day long fair will also organize a cultural evening on 13th and 14th of July. Cleanliness, lighting, will be given much delicate attention. CM Biplab Kumar Deb is likely to inaugurate the seven day program followed by Dy CM Jishnu Debbarma addressing the closing ceremony.
