In an exceptional move, Tripura natural Gas Corporation Limited has initiated a massive drive to generate awareness about drug addiction among the CNG auto drivers and CNG consumers.
The state owned company has on today organized an awareness programme on Fire Safety and De-addiction in collaboration with Fire Service department and Prajapita Brahma Kumari at Khayerpur CNG station.
After the programme, a mock drill was also organized at the premises of the CNG station to make people aware of the fire safety and use of fire extinguisher while in crisis.
BK Aatma from Prajapita Brhama Kumari Agartala center discussed on various issues on as to how people can achieve complete freedom of addiction. TNGCL Chief Manager Chnadan Chakraborty spoke on fire safety in CNG vehicles and advised the drivers to keep their vehicle fit for CNG filling in timely manner. From the part of Fire Service, Fire Master Goutam Saha and Fire Service officer Ashim Ranjan Biswas delivered on fire safety measures.
Sources in the TNGCL said, these initiatives are brain child of present managing director of TNGCL B Sinha who always encourages officials to make people aware of the proper utilization of fuel through such programmes. Meanwhile, about 200 to 220 participants participated in the programme held today.
