In reference to the incident, it was learnt, Onsukai Koloi is the youngest of three sons of Chandan Koloi, a resident of Regrouping Para of Ampinagar. Onsukai, was severely injured this afternoon when his parents were out of work.

Three of the children were playing inside house when Onsukai sustained injuries in his head. In not time, the local rushed to the spot and admitted the injured to the local hospital. The on-duty doctors, observing the deteriorated health conditions of the child, referred him to GBP hospital.

Officer In-charge Ampi Police station said, we rushed to the spot as soon as we got the information but could not catch up with the child and his family as they left for Agartala before we reached. Preliminary investigation revealed that three of the children were spotted playing with slingshot and marbles at their house. It is suspected that the child might have been hit by the slingshot itself or by his elder brother Alak Koloi, he told us.

On the contrary, sources in the GBP hospital said, the child was admitted in the hospital with deep injuries on his head. The way the skull of the child was damaged appeared very similar to injuries made by gunshots.
