Tripura Sports School became eligible to take part in Under 13 North East Sunfeast Cup Football tournament as today in the final match of State Sunfeast cup football tournament Tripura Sports School defeated Astabal Morning by a minimum margin of 1-0.
At Swami Vivekananda stadium today both the teams started to play with attacking mindset but in the first half of the match both the teams failed to score any goal. In between Astabal goal keeper Khatung Debbarma grabbed attention of all as he stopped two certain goals from the opposition.
But the goal which has been scored by Sports School was just outstanding as Khatung was unable to stop the goal. In the 36th minute of the match Biru Debbarma scored the opening and only goal for Tripura Sports School as in the end Tripura Sports School won the match by 1-0. Dinbandhu Saha conducted the match.
At the end of the match the prize distribution ceremony took place where cashier of state association Bikash Das handed over the champion trophy to Tripura Sports School and also the runners up Astabal Morning team has been awarded with trophy.
Dhananjay Reang of Panisagar Sports School became the highest goal scorer of the tournament while Rajesh Roy Choudhury of Tripura Sports School won the best award for coach. On the other hand Panisagar Sports School won the fair play trophy.
