Health minister Sudip Roy Barman appealed more and more people to come forward for blood donation. He made this appeal while inaugurating Blood Donation camp organized by PWD Employees Sangha at Belonia today.
Referring common people have no fear about blood donation at present he said, “people donate blood now voluntarily and blood donation is possible after an interval of every 4 months and it makes no harm for body. On necessity donor can check up fitness of his body free of cost before donation”
Explaining reason behind checkup he cautioned about dreaded diseases like AIDS, Cancer which may attack in our body at anytime. Health minister said that he used to donate blood after regular interval.
Adding that demand of blood is prevailing in the state for Cancer Hospital, Thalesemia patient, pregnant women, Troma Centre and Anemic patients the minister said that he would call meeting of all originations in Agartala and he would put down responsibility to organize blood donation after a regular interval. He claimed that meeting demand of 100 percent blood donation in the state would become possible after adoption of such measure.
Meanwhile Health minister gave some hopeful message to the employees and requested them to work with patience for 15 months and expected that 15th Finance Commission would fulfill their demand on the basis of 2.57 as 7th Pay Commission could not fulfill their demand. However he appealed to bring back work culture to the employees.
