State women leaders express satisfaction over Telengana encounter

AGARTALA:

Irrespective of political affiliations, the women leaders of the state expressed their satisfaction over the encounter held at Telengana this morning, in which 4 of the prime accused in the Telengana based vet rape case had been killed. Since the news hit the social media it went viral in a fit of time and it was listed among the most searched articles of the day. People from almost every section of the society hailed the move taken by the Telengana police whereas, a smaller section sounded disagreement with the incident.

Speaking to this correspondent, state Mohila Morcha chief Papiya Datta said, she salutes the move taken by the police. “I salute Telengana police for setting a heroic example before the society. This move has not only sent out a strong message but also warned the people having lecherous mindset” she told this website.

She also laid emphasis on the fact as to how the crime against women is getting lowered due to the eager initiatives of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “Since, PM Modi came to power; crime being meted out against women has declined. Even in Tripura after the political change of guard three cases have come in front where the accused have been sentenced guilty” said Datta.

Mohila Congress leader, Purnita Chakma, though declined to give any official comment; she expressed her personal satisfaction over the issue. However, no one from the CPIM party could be contacted to have comments on the issue.
