Speculation reached at high level with post of Chairman for newly elected members of Udaipur Municipal Council. A section of BJP is demanding to select Anupam Choudhury for the post while another section is trying to select former teacher Shital Majumder.
Both the BJP candidates have been elected uncontested. Anupam Choudhury also contested from Ward no-9 when BJP had least supporters in 2015. Although Anupam Choudhury defeated to CPI-M candidate Subrata Deb. Meanwhile Choudhury reached to active role of BJP during last 3 years.
At the same time the supporters of Shital Majumder are highlighting his fame as quiet and patient person. Shital Majumder from ward 17 and Anupam Choudhury from ward no-9 both have acceptability at Udaipur town.
Although, BJP District Committee will tell the last word about the chairman of UMC. In such a situation taking final decision for the District Committee will be tough job.
