SM Cup Girl’s Football Tournament: Tripura to face Bangladesh tomorrow

AGARTALA:

Tripura Mungiakami School will play their opening match tomorrow against strong Bangladesh team in the Subrata Mukherjee cup Girl’s football tournament. The match will be held at MWC field and will start from 4.30 pm. Both the teams did their final preparation today for the match.

Coach Haripurna Jamatia made it very much clear that against the strong Bangladesh side Tripura will play defensive football from the start. At the end of today’s practice session over a telephonic interview Coach Said,” We have not seen them play before as we heard that they are a very strong side.

For this reason our girls will play defensive football from the start and will plan accordingly after seeing their style of play.” Coach also said that in this opening match Tripura will play with 4-4-2 plan but Hena Debbarma may be used at the defensive screen position during first couple of minutes of the match.

Today in the morning all the players have been rested while the whole team did practice in the afternoon. Coach also selected the final XI. Hasmita Debbarma will be the goal keeper while Sampili Jamatia, Srima Debbarma, Sefali Debbarma and Sankari Debbarma will control the defense. Captain Rupa Debbarma, Hena Debbarma, Anjali Debbarma and Chumui Debbarma will play at mid field while Anita Debbarma and Sunita Debbarma will play in the forward.
