A sensitization workshop on communicable diseases is held at Agartala Pragna Bhawan on Tuesday. The workshop was organized by Integrated Disease surveillance program under National Health Mission.
The state health and family welfare minister Sudip Roy Barman has inaugurated the workshop by lighting the traditional lamp on dais to mark the programme.
“More awareness are required to be generated among the common masses of the state regarding the communicable diseases are the main cause of death in the world, resulting in more victims than all other diseases combined,” said Minister Sudip Roy Barman today while addressing the gathering during the daylong workshop programme.
Meantime, the speakers who addressed the programme today during the workshop has emphasised on strengthening the idea that prevention and control should be a priority among governments, international organizations, civil society and the private sector, which should join forces in order to revert the current situation.
However, the workshop counted with the officials, doctors and nurses at Agartala Pragna Bhawan auditorium.
